Standing out from the crowd in the roots genre, The Tequila Mockingbird Orchestra stirs a dizzying concoction of Gypsy, Folk, Roots and non-traditional Bluegrass into their brew, and then one by one each member adds their own seasonings to the mix.
Their new album is Love, and I caught up with vocalist and guitarist Kurt Loewen ahead of a performance at the 11th Annual Canadian Folk Music Awards, and a turn at The Calgary Folk Club.
