From the first moment I saw Joe Nolan live, I was taken by the influences he wears on his sleeve onstage. If you've heard his terrific 2014 release Tornado, you have some kind of idea of the level of singer songwriter he is.
This interview precedes his second appearance at The Calgary Folk Club, and his October appearance at Calgary's inaugural roots music festival, Wide Cut Weekend.
