Yet another group of talented artists exploding out of Prince Edward Island, Ten Strings And A Goat String are a folk/traditional fusion trio.
Like so many other young contemporary artists, Celtic music is in their DNA, and their music evokes the unmistakeable sounds of East Coast Canada.
Jessie Périard, Caleb Gallant and Rowen Gallant do their heritage proud, and have been gaining notice across North America in that effort. They've taken home awards, gained nominations, and perform at some of the top venues and music events everywhere.
In advance of a visit to Alberta to perform at the Calgary Folk Club, I chatted with fiddle player Rowen Gallant.
This will also link to an online feature in my Calgary Herald blog.
